On the Trail

A typical Barr Colonist Outfit along the Trail in 1903. 
Most didn't have the billowing white canvas top now associated with "prairie schooners". 
They were loaded high with "stuff"

This is what so many came to do.  Break the land which had never been touched by a plough.

Lloyd Landing on North Saskatchewan River

Not all Colonists came up the trail from Saskatoon.
Some came down the North Saskatchewan River from Edmonton - heading for Lloyd Landing, pictured above.
