ELEANOR ROBERTSON
Eleanor Robertson began her artistic endeavour 35 years ago in Hamilton, Ontario
after the birth of her first child when she had more time to do this. She
took top honours at the fifth annual Saskatchewan Alberta Visual Arts Guild
juried art show at the Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre. She won best
painting for her piece called "Ladyslippers".
Eleanor enjoys exploring different techniques and media, but most of her recent
works are in watercolour and soft pastels.
While she enjoys using a wide variety of subjects for artistic composition,
Eleanor is particularly fascinated by the prairie landscape in all its seasons
and moods. Animals, birds, flowers or people are often a part of her realistic
landscape painting. these subjects are very popular with those who appreciate
local art.
Several limited
edition prints and hasty notes have been produced from
Eleanor's original oils,
watercolours and pastels. These, as well as many original paintings, are
available at Artistic Framing/Art Gallery in Maidstone, Saskatchewan which is
owned and operated by Eleanor and her husband, Richard. Visitors are always
welcome to the gallery.
