TAMI HUNTER HOLTBY
Tami Hunter Holtby was born in Edmonton, Alberta.
Her family, originally from Spruce Lake, Saskatchewan, has lived in the
Lloydminster area since she was ten years old. Tami took most of her elementary
schooling and high school in Lloydminster before venturing to Saskatoon to
obtain an Administrative Secretarial Diploma in 1987.
Tami married her high school sweetheart, Greg Holtby, and they have two
wonderful children, Taryn and Braden. They farm together north of
Marshall and last year built a new home where they reside.
As well as helping with farm duties,
Tami has been climbing the steps to her goal of being a contender in the
Canadian music scene - not only as an artist, but also as a manager, music
publisher and album producer.
As an artist, Tami has released and
written two albums with singles doing very well across Canada, one video and
several TV specials. She is
Saskatchewan's Female Vocalist for 1996 and has also accumulated many
nominations in different categories. Tami and her band, Walkin' After Midnight
(Saskatchewan's Back-up band of the year), have travelled extensively through
Western Canada playing at different venues with artists including Charlie Major,
Jason McCoy, Lisa Brokop and many more. Tami has definitely established a name
for herself as an artist in Canada.
As a music Promoter, Tami and everyone at Taryden
Records (Tami and Greg's Promotions company) put out a fundraising album
last year for the Multiple Sclerosis Society called A WISHFUL CHRISTMAS where
all the funds were donated to the MS
Society. It was a tremendous
success for their first outside venture.
On the business side, Tami busy managing two new artists as well as doing
freelance Promotional work across Western Canada.
Tami's company, TARYDEN RECORDS, is establishing a solid name for itself
in the music and promotions industry.
Tami lives a very busy lifestyle
juggling family, career and friends as many do these days.
