Tibor Adam
" I have always been fascinated by the people and the
nature surrounding me, and I want to capture some special moments of life on my
canvases, those that are enjoyable and would have been remembered for many years
to come." These thoughts and observations provide the guidance and essence
in Tibor's art life.
Since his arrival in Canada from his native Hungary, Tibor has
worked on and off at his paintings. Although he has not had any formal art
education since his school years, he began to take his art very seriously after
his retirement from the oil business in 1986.
Tibor works primarily in oils. His work depicts British
Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan landscapes, shores, as well as flowers, which
he believes are one of the wonders of the world. Using a wide range of colours
he captures the changes of tight and season in bold, vivid hues.
Tibor's works continue to be exhibited at various Saskatchewan,
Alberta and British Columbia galleries including the Butchart Gardens and Steven
Lowe galleries in Victoria, British Columbia, Johnson and Prairie Fine Arts
galleries in Edmonton, Alberta and Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre in
Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. They can also be found in private collections in
Canada, U.S.A. and Europe.
