Wes Saunders
Long time radio and TV news anchor - he was the voice of Lloydminster,
a true professional, and literally the anchor of Lloydminster television
throughout its early years
One of the most frequent comments when people looked through Bordering
on Greatness: was ...
"Oh look, there's Ernie Ford! I remember when ..."

Ernie Ford 1924 - 1984
Popular personality on CKSA radio and TV (1967 - 1984)
Ernie was DJ, "morning man", rodeo commentator and anything else that came
along.

Ernie Ford in character as "Grandpa Sneezbe" in the early
days of TV in Lloydminster.
In those days, there was several hours of locally produced programming each
day on CKSA
from this children's show, to a noon hour news magazine, and local talk and
interview programs.
It is a sad example of "unprogress" that eventually locally produced
television programming
amounted to less than 1 hour per day.
(you can't count tapes from CBC News Network as "local" news)
